What We Do

Project INSPIRE, is located in Stratford and began in December 2007 as a School Transition Program. In August 2010, the program was reorganized to tailor its structure to support individuals on the Autism spectrum. The program has a positive and upbeat culture that aims to facilitate inclusive opportunities for recreation, volunteering, socialization, employment and daily life skills.

The staff ratio at Project INSPIRE is determined by the needs of the individual and works towards supporting individuals in the least restrictive setting possible while maintaining individual support opportunities. Weekly activities such as yoga, drumming, Zumba, movement and art classes are provided by The Kennedy Center Therapeutic Arts Facilitators. Although structured and routine oriented, the program also teaches flexibility, understanding and the ability to manage changes as they occur.
