What We Do

Project PACE

The Kennedy Center, Connecticut, Community Experience

Project PACE, located in Milford, specializes in opportunities for individuals with a diagnosis of Autism or an Intellectual Disability as well as Clinical/Behavioral needs. The focus of the program is to enhance the individual’s social, behavioral and clinical competencies through community and recreational opportunities. Although structured and routine oriented, the program also teaches flexibility, understanding and the ability to manage changes as they occur.

The staff ratio at Project PACE is determined by the needs of each individual and works towards supporting them in the least restrictive setting possible while maintaining individual support opportunities. These support opportunities include small and large motor activities/exercises; arts and crafts; sensory stimulation; music; and cooking. The group also participates in a number of community activities including recreational and volunteer-based trips.
