The Kennedy Center is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in our state and any potential impacts on those we support, our employees, families and community partners.

We have taken additional cleaning and disinfecting measures at all program and job sites, homes, offices and in all vehicles used to transport Kennedy Center individuals. We are also reinforcing the importance of proper personal hygiene, hand washing and universal precautions, as the most effective way to stop the spread of this virus and all others.

As of March 10, we have suspended group outings and volunteer opportunities at larger community locations, including, but not limited to, movie theaters, malls, museums and senior centers. We are also evaluating individual needs and program attendance, based on prior medical history and health.

This is a fluid situation, with new recommendations from the State of Connecticut’s leadership each day. We will continue to update you on any changes.

Please rest assured that we are providing the highest quality of care and direct support to individuals of all abilities while ensuring a safe and responsive work environment.

For pertinent COVID-19 information and the latest on the impact in Connecticut please visit and follow: ct.gov/Coronavirus. The State has also implemented a Coronavirus hotline for general questions. Call 211 or text “CTCOVID” to 898211.

If you have any questions or concerns related to The Kennedy Center and Coronavirus, please contact Kate Czaplinski, Development and Communications Director, by email or call 203-365-8522 Ext. 2015.

Sincerely,

Rick Sebastian
President & CEO
