Posted Tuesday, March 17:

As the impact of COVID-19 grows in our state and country, The Kennedy Center continues to follow the best guidelines to protect the health of those we support and our dedicated staff.

Last Friday The Kennedy Center announced temporary program closures, SEE THE FULL LIST HERE.  These programs are currently scheduled to reopen on Monday, April 6. Employment and job services are continuing and Kennedy Center staff will contact participants and/or families individually to discuss.

Essential Residential Services, including In-Home Supports (IHS) and Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) services, will continue.

As of Tuesday, March 17, The Kennedy Center is temporarily restricting all visitors to our program sites and residential homes.

This strict No Visitor Policy is being taken out of an abundance of caution for the vulnerable people we support and our dedicated Kennedy Center staff.

Families who wish to pick up loved ones from a residential home to care for them and remain with them until our visitor ban is lifted may do so. All other visits, including outings and celebrations, are prohibited at this time.

The Kennedy Center is also monitoring necessary deliveries and limiting the number of visitors to our 2440 Reservoir Avenue and 39 Lindeman Drive campuses in Trumbull.

As recommendations from the state and federal government change, we will revisit our policies in place and keep our community up-to-date. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time.
